In the fall of 2020, ANAC contracted graduate students studying in Animal or Agricultural Science or a related field to complete three feed related projects. The goal of these projects is to support students who might be financially impacted by COVID-19 and allow them to get a taste for the feed industry while developing resources and tools that can be used by our members.

The three projects include (1) creating a Feed Industry Primer which includes current practices within the Canadian feed industry to educate government and other stakeholders on our industry, (2) developing feed statistics which will help stakeholders understand the feed consumption distribution in Canada and (3) creating a Hazard Analysis Tool which will assist members prepare for new preventive control plans anticipated in the modernized Feeds Regulations.
