Dairy farmers across the Northeast can now apply for the Dairy Farm Improvement & Modernization Grant through the Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center (NE-DBIC). With $950,000 in total funding, the grant program aims to enhance farm viability, economic sustainability, and climate resilience.
Grant Details:
- Funding Range: $15,000 to $100,000
- Match Requirement: 25% in-kind and/or cash match contribution
The grants will support a variety of projects designed to:
- Modernize outdated systems
- Implement innovative solutions
- Improve milk quality or value
- Enhance worker conditions
- Reduce climate impacts
- Strengthen farms’ ability to respond to challenges
Eligible applicants include dairy farmers, technical service providers, producer associations, and milk buyers/processors with projects directly benefiting a group of dairy farmers.
Eligible States:
Applications are open to participants in the 11 Northeast states served by the NE-DBIC:
Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
