Holstein Canada proudly unveiled the 19 recipients of the 2024 Master Breeder Awards during a much-anticipated live virtual event on Saturday evening. With over 9,400 Holstein members and enthusiasts tuning in, the evening was hosted by Classifiers Alex Laliberté and Willemke Binnendijk, marking another successful edition of this engaging online celebration.

This year’s honourees hail from across the country, showcasing the depth of talent and dedication within Canada’s Holstein community:

  • Quebec: 9 recipients
  • Ontario: 8 recipients
  • Saskatchewan: 1 recipient
  • British Columbia: 1 recipient

Congratulations to all the winners on achieving this prestigious recognition—the pinnacle of success in Canadian dairy breeding.

Since its inception in 1929, the Master Breeder Award has celebrated the exceptional breeding achievements of Holstein Canada members. To date, more than 1,000 Master Breeder shields have been awarded to herds demonstrating excellence in production, conformation, and traits like reproduction, health, and longevity. These herds represent the gold standard in breeding for both performance and sustainability.
