Seven Farm Credit System institutions, including AgCountry Farm Credit Services, CoBank, and Farm Credit Mid-America, have partnered with Indiana-based Lake States Dairy Center to promote sustainable agriculture, livestock, and food production. Collectively, they will contribute $2.7 million over five years to enhance educational exhibits at Fair Oaks Farms, a leading agritourism destination.
The funding will support the development of interactive exhibits showcasing food safety, animal care, environmental stewardship, and innovative dairy practices. Since its opening in 2004, the Lake States Dairy Center has welcomed 100,000 annual visitors, offering insights into modern agricultural methods through full-scale operating farm tours and educational programs.
