Holstein Canada has announced the appointment of two distinguished judges, selected through an exhibitor vote, to officiate at the 2025 National Holstein Show and the National Red and White Holstein Show. These prestigious events will be held during the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, taking place from November 7 to 16, 2025.
2025 National Holstein Show Judge: Joël Lepage (Amqui, QC)
Joël Lepage, co-owner of JM Valley Holstein with his spouse Mireille Lavoie, has been named the judge for the 2025 National Holstein Show. With extensive experience judging elite shows across Canada, Mr. Lepage’s international portfolio includes renowned events such as the Swiss Expo, the Night of the Holstein Show in Belgium, and the National Argentina Holstein Show. Among the notable achievements of JM Valley Holstein is Idee Windbrook Lynzi EX-95 4E 5*, who was crowned Supreme Champion at the 2019 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and earned the title of Holstein Canada’s Cow of the Year in 2020.
2025 National Red and White Holstein Show Judge: Steve Fraser (Fergus, ON)
Steve Fraser, operator of Fraeland Farms alongside his spouse Jackie Fraser and their daughter Scarlett Fraser, has been selected as the judge for the 2025 National Red and White Holstein Show. Mr. Fraser brings a wealth of experience from judging prominent events in Canada, the United States, and Australia. Fraeland Farms is renowned for its exceptional livestock, including Fraeland Doorman Bonnie EX-94 2* (Honorable Mention All-American in 2018 and 2019) and Fraeland Chief Liberty VG-87 2Yr (All-American and All-Canadian in 2021).
